Moorsele and Gullegem prepare for Gent-Wevelgem

Road  13/03/2023

On Sunday 26 March, the peloton heads to the Westhoek again for Gent-Wevelgem. A lot of villages are looking forward to the riders arriving. In Moorsele and Gullegem, you can spend an entire day in the fan village, where a fun program awaits you.

This year, Gent-Wevelgem will start under the Menin Gate in Ypres again. The Men Elite will set off at 10:50 for a ride of about 260 kilometres. After just over half an hour of racing, the riders will enter Moorsele. They will ride to Sint-Jansstraat via Ledegemstraat. The peloton will leave Moorsele via the Secretaris Vanmarckelaan and then head for Gullegem. Cafés and local associations in Moorsele will provide drinks and food stands at the intersection of Sint-Jansstraat and Warandestraat from 10:30.

The atmosphere and fun is in the hands of the street band Kunst naar Vermogen, Streetmagic Joppe, GameBoy and De Poetsploeg. Spellenclub 13 will provide entertainment for the children. Thanks to a large screen, you won't have to miss anything happening on the course either.

After Moorsele, the riders will also pay a visit to Gullegem. They will ride to Dorpsplein and Bissegemstraat via Hondschotestraat. Via Rijksweg, they will then leave the Wevelgem territory behind for a while. Local cafés and associations in Gullegem will also provide food and drinks. There is no shortage of ambience with De Twoapegerapte, Marcel Cyclette, La mer Perdue and Spellenclub 13. Guaranteed fun for people of all ages. You certainly won’t have to miss anything happening on the course here either.
