Mobility & Accessibility

Gent-Wevelgem 2022: how do you get to the start and finish line?

On Sunday 27 March you can enjoy 7 wonderful races in Flanders Fields on the roads between Ypres and Wevelgem. Ypres and Wevelgem are doing everything they can to organise mobility to Ghent-Wevelgem in the best possible way. We put all transport possibilities in a list for you.

Do you live nearby? If so, just head to Grote Markt on foot. The station is within walking distance and the bicycle parking facility is also nearby.

If you live in the centre, it is always best to arrive on foot. The train station is a 5-minute walk away for those who prefer public transport.

The centre of Ypres is easily accessible by bike. There are bike stalls in the parking lot Kolve in the Gevangenisstraat. Please note that the car park is not guarded, so be sure to bring your lock to leave your bike safely.

A temporary, extra bike stall is being built on the "Grotplein", in the shadow of the church (and 300m from the finish). Attention: the bike sheds near the pubs "Alfa" and "De Mythe" will be temporarily removed for safety reasons during the race.

During Gent-Wevelgem all normal transport tickets are valid, such as season tickets or a Lijnkaart. All information and timetables can be found on

With a Weekend Ticket (formerly known as Weekendbiljet) you travel at a discount of -50%* on your outward and return journey. Are you over 65? With the Senior Ticket you also enjoy a nice discount.
